Antipodean Mandolin Ensemble

The AME was formed by seven members of various Sydney-based orchestras and ensembles who share a love of performing contemporary Australian works for mandolin and other stringed instruments as well as indigenous instruments such as the didgeridoo.

The Ensemble plays a diverse and entertaining range of music including Neapolitan, Latin, classical, traditional and contemporary music, most of which is written by one of the players, Stephen Lalor.

The AME has been invited to perform at "Eurofestival Zupfmuzik 2010" in Germany during June. The concert at the Putty Hall is a fund raiser for the group which includes Putty resident, Martha Babineau.
