Putty Valley Online

This is a not for profit community website, designed to meet the needs of residents and visitors, all local community groups, and for discussion affecting our community.

Putty Valley enjoys a unique location surrounded by Wollemi and Yengo National Parks, the largest wilderness area in New South Wales, and is only two and a half hours drive from Sydney’s CBD.  It is situated 81 kilometres from Singleton and 91 kilometres from Windsor on the Putty Road which is part of State Route 69.

The Putty Hall is located four kilometres from the Putty Road.  Since 1918 this has been the focal point for a community without shops or services.  The area around the hall was once a small village of timber workers  but none of the original houses remain.  Dairy and beef cattle farms,  the early industry of the valley, have been subdivided into small land holdings.

Today’s community includes people with a diverse range of interests, skills and businesses.
