Maps and Rural Addressing
The Singleton Council has recently updated the rural addressing for the Putty. The system used is a standard throughout Australia so emergency services can locate people and properties easily.
The allocation of rural address numbers is carried out in a logical sequence and in accordance with set rules. The number is based on a distance from a starting point, usually a road intersection, to the property entrance with odd numbers on the left and even numbers on the right.
